IPL fever


With the IPL fever on across the world, our recent game of cricket too turned out to have all the thrill and excitement of an IPL game. Recently, we had a match between Men in Blue (MIB) and Kharian CC, which left the players in the dugout and our special spectators on the edge of their seats.

MIB won the toss and chose to bat first. The opening batsmen started strong but were soon dismissed by the Kharian CC bowlers. However, Pratik stood firm on one end scoring 44 (40) in a composed innings. Followed by Om playing a crucial knock of 31 in 22 deliveries. Their impactful knocks helped MIB to put up a challenging total of 156 in 20 overs.

Kharian CC had a tough task ahead of them, but they started well with Danish’s excellent batting form. He scored 61 runs off 52 balls, which included seven fours and three sixes. However, the rest of the Kharian CC batsmen struggled to make an impact, and the team lost wickets at crucial moments.

MIB’s bowling unit was impressive, with each player picking up a wicket or more. Pratik was the game-changer, as he picked up three wickets in a single over providing the momentum for the team to fight back in the game. Sreejit played a vital role in breaking through with Danish’s wicket at a time when the team needed it the most. Last but not least, Sahil defended nine runs in the final over, which was essential in securing the win for MIB.

A special mention to Suraj for his sharp captaincy. He entrusted his players to the fullest and made some excellent decisions that proved to be game-changing.

Although this was a friendly match, the excitement and victory will surely remain in the minds of the players. It is moments like these that motivate our men in blue to continue their momentum and strive for excellence.

Both teams put in their best efforts, but MIB emerged victorious by four runs. The game showcased the importance of teamwork, strategy and trust between all the players. All in all, an exciting encounter between teams with mutual respect, and a Sunday to remember!Post Content
